Purpose
This Community & Review Policy establishes rules for user conduct and customer reviews on GlaMap. Its goals are to preserve useful, authentic customer feedback, protect users from abuse, and maintain trustworthy Store and Worker/Technician profiles.
Review Model
GlaMap uses customer reviews as its reputation system. Customers may review eligible Stores and Workers/Technicians based on actual service experiences. GlaMap does not currently provide internal Store-to-Worker, Worker-to-Store, workplace, or employer/employee reviews.
Store Owners may view customer reviews of Workers/Technicians. Workers may view customer reviews of Stores. These customer reviews may inform decisions in the lightweight We're Hiring / Find Work feature.
Who May Submit a Review
Where technically feasible, GlaMap should prioritize reviews tied to a verified booking or other verifiable customer interaction. GlaMap may label reviews to indicate whether an interaction was verified.
A reviewer must describe their genuine experience and must not misrepresent whether they used or experienced the service.
Prohibited Review Conduct
- Fake reviews, fabricated experiences, AI-generated fake consumer reviews, or reviews submitted for a person who did not have the represented experience.
- Buying or selling fake reviews.
- Offering compensation, discounts, gifts, or other incentives conditioned on a review being positive or negative.
- Undisclosed insider reviews where disclosure is required.
- Review suppression through intimidation, unfounded legal threats, harassment, or other prohibited conduct.
- Coordinated rating manipulation, review rings, duplicate accounts, or mass review attacks.
- Reviews containing threats, hate, targeted harassment, doxxing, unlawful content, malware links, or personal information not reasonably necessary to describe the service experience.
- Reviews primarily about matters unrelated to the service or provider being reviewed.
Honest Negative Reviews
GlaMap does not remove a review merely because it is negative or because a Store or Worker disagrees with the customer's opinion. Businesses and providers may report content that violates this Policy, but reporting is not a guarantee of removal.
GlaMap should not use contractual terms that prohibit or penalize consumers for posting honest reviews of services or customer service, subject to lawful limits for content such as confidential information, harassment, or defamation.
Incentivized Reviews
If GlaMap or a provider ever offers a lawful incentive for a review, the incentive must not be conditioned expressly or implicitly on positive or negative sentiment, and any required material-connection disclosure must be clear and conspicuous. The safest V1 design is to avoid provider-controlled incentives for reviews.
Store and Provider Responses
Stores and Workers/Technicians may be allowed to respond to customer reviews. Responses must remain professional and must not reveal private customer information, threaten the reviewer, manipulate the rating, or offer improper compensation for removal/change of truthful negative feedback.
Moderation
GlaMap may use automated signals and human review to detect policy violations. Depending on severity and confidence, GlaMap may leave content in place, request clarification, add a label, reduce distribution, remove content, restrict review privileges, suspend an account, or take other proportionate action.
Moderation should be viewpoint-neutral with respect to positive versus negative sentiment. Enforcement should focus on authenticity, safety, relevance, legality, and compliance with this Policy.
Reporting and Appeals
Customers, Stores, and Workers/Technicians may report a review they believe violates this Policy. Reports should identify the review and the reason for the report. GlaMap may request supporting information.
Where appropriate, GlaMap should provide a reasonable appeal or reconsideration mechanism for moderation decisions. Repeated abusive reporting may itself violate platform rules.
Community Conduct
- Treat other users respectfully.
- Do not harass, threaten, stalk, exploit, or discriminate unlawfully.
- Do not impersonate others or misrepresent professional credentials.
- Do not post sexual, violent, hateful, or otherwise unlawful content outside legitimate service context.
- Do not use messaging for spam, scams, phishing, or unrelated solicitation.
- Respect privacy and do not publish sensitive personal information without authorization.
Enforcement Records
GlaMap should maintain internal audit records for material review moderation actions, including the reported content, reason code, decision, timestamp, and authorized actor/system. Records should be retained under GlaMap's retention policy.
